Dundee is a major centre
of biomedical research.
The Institute for Cardiovascular Research will add considerably
to the clinician's potential to manage and prevent cardiovascular
disease. It will lead to a strengthening of the skills required
to translate research outcomes into improved treatments for patients,
and preventive measures for the children and adolscents of Scotland.
This, in turn, will produce and enhanced quality of life for all
of us and our children.
