THE TEAM The
Institute for Cardiovascular Research will bring together on one site,
the skilful clinicians and scientists with the research talent of:- Professor Jill Belch- Head of TICR and Vascular Medicine  Professor Allan Struthers -Cardiovascular Medicine and Therapeutics Professor Hugh Tunstall-Pedoe- Cardiovascular Epidemiology Professor Annie Anderson- Applied Nutrition Professor Chim Lang- Cardiology Professor Peter Stonebridge- Vascular Surgery Dr Anna Maria Choy- Cardiology Dr Faisel Khan- Vascular Research Dr Colin Palmer- Biomedical Research Dr Ron McWalter- Stroke Medicine Dr Alex Doney- Stroke Medicine Shobna Vasishta-Chairman of TICR Appeal Fundraising During the last five years these successful scientists and medics have attracted over £37M to support their research from organisations as diverse as the Medical Research Council through the Scottish Office and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food to the British Heart Foundation. |
